AIA San Francisco offers a wide variety of year-round professional development opportunities to members. Programs range from workshops and seminars, to panel discussions and the popular Procrastinators' Health, Saftey, and Welfare (HSW) Series. These programs are both a member benefit—offering invaluable Continuing Education System (CES) Learning Unit credits (LUs)—and a way of fostering community for all Bay Area design professionals.
Each month, members have many ways to meet their Continuing Education System (CES) requirement. Our year-round continuing-education series draws upon the expertise of highly respected industry leaders for seminars focused on practice management, emerging technology, and design. Furthermore, our many committees offer roundtables, talks, and discussions on topics ranging from small-firm management and major urban design projects, to “Marketing 101 for Small Firms” and “How to Keep the Design in Public Architecture.” Noontime programs are free and open to all; modest fees may apply for some evening programs.
