Building Enclosure Council

BEC-SF is Knowledge Community of AIASF, part of a network of Councils in cities around the U.S., and initiated by AIA National and the National Institute of Building Sciences.

BEC-SF’s goal is to increase awareness of building envelope design as a critical aspect of the successful construction and sustainability of buildings, and to foster the education of building industry professionals regarding proper design, construction, and maintenance of building envelopes. Councils address specific issues related to local building conditions and climate.
