Light! is Northern California’s Premier
Architectural Lighting and Design Show

On July 21st, 2022 from 11:30 am-8pm, IES San Francisco Section’s Light! Design Expo returns to Pier 27 on San Francisco’s Embarcadero, with its beautiful panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay and waterfront. This exciting annual expo showcases the latest in architectural lighting products, attracts a wide range of design professionals, and is the only architectural lighting products show in Northern California. This exciting event for the design community is becoming known as one of the best lighting shows in the US.

Light! Design Expo’s product showcases and free seminars are carefully curated for the Bay Area architecture, design, engineering, and construction community: lighting designers, architects, interior designers, engineers, building owners, facilities and maintenance teams, school districts, municipalities, contractors, real estate developers, construction firms, and more.

Light! Design Expo is free for attendees and presents a unique opportunity to network and to see and experience the latest in the most innovative architectural and decorative lighting products. All this is brought to you in a social and festive setting with amazing views of the San Francisco Bay and waterfront.

Audience & Attendance
Attendance is free to the architecture and design community. We expect a minimum of 1000+ attendees from the design and specification community: lighting designers, architects, interior designers, engineers, building owners, facilities and maintenance teams, school districts, municipalities, contractors and more. IES San Francisco is partnering closely with industry organizations including AIA, IIDA, and ASID.

Free Seminars
Light! will host four free AIA, IDCEC, and IES Accredited Seminars in a 3000 sq. ft. space that can accommodate 200 attendees per class.

Complimentary Food & Beverage
Light! will feature complimentary cuisine from local SF food trucks, dessert carts as well as coffee bars which will be interspersed throughout the show floor. There will also be a full no host bar from 4pm-8pm.

Project Exhibition
Graphic images of the most current local lighting projects featuring the collaborative work of local designers and manufacturers will be on display throughout the event space.

There are four free AIA, IDCEC, and IES Accredited Seminars. (Please see seminar info pages for specific CEU’s for each seminar.)
Attendance is Free. Event Registration is required. Please indicate on the registration form all seminars you plan to attend. No registration is required for seminars. Event registration does not guarantee a seat at seminars – admission to seminars is on a first-come-first-served basis. Please arrive early to secure your seat. A link to request CEU’s/LU’s will be provided to those who indicate seminar interest in the Light! Design Expo event registration form and attend the seminar.
