We are also excited to spotlight the CASA Alumni Scholarship, which provides scholarships to Chicanx/Latinx students at UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design. CASA, UC Berkeley’s Chicanx/Latinx Architecture Student Association, is celebrating its 50^th anniversary this year. We will hear from Roy Hernandez, one of the its original members and founder of the scholarship program, and from a couple of scholarship recipients.

CASA Alumni Scholarship: Since its inception in 2011, CASA Alumni has disbursed over $120,000 in need-based scholarships, equipment and internships to 80+ students at UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design. In the spring semester, CASA Alumni hosts an annual gala to celebrate the award recipients and their families. This year’s event will take place on Friday April 21^st.
