Bert's technical expertise and strong relationships with Fortune 500 companies has delivered award-winning projects, ranging from office interiors to complex multi-phased campus and hardware lab renovations. This impressive portfolio of companies includes AMD, Twilio, Zendesk, Apple, Twitch, and Google delivering projects for them in countries like China, Brazil, Canada, and South Korea. A registered architect in California and Wisconsin, Bert earned his B.A. in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
A strong believer in making a difference in the local Bay Area community, Bert remains an active member of the AIA, IIDA and CoreNet Global. Additionally he serves as a Committee Chair for Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) which raises money for the San Francisco General Hospital Ward 86, providing services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
Lisa Boquiren, Brand Strategist / Design Aficionada, brings insight, ideas and brand strategy to creative businesses. She oversaw rebranding initiatives, as director of marketing at San Francisco Design Center, and at EHDD. As chairperson for the AIASF Communications Committee (2009-2014), Lisa helped advance the chapter’s messaging goals, particularly for women in practice, through incubator events that enabled EQxD. Other events she has created include “Flight Path” (2020) and the Practice Series (2012-present) which covers topics ranging from women in practice and the state of the profession to equity in education.
