This CSE seminar is a four-part lecture series that provides a detailed overview of all knowledge areas in the latest edition of the California Supplemental Exam test plan. Materials covered in the first session include project approval processes, agencies having jurisdiction, land use and environmental regulations etc. The second session will be on Title 24 and other building codes and regulations. Materials covered in the third session include general architectural practice issues, Pre-Design services, AIA document B101: Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Architect etc., while the final session will cover bidding and negotiation, AIA document A201: General Conditions of the Contract for Construction and other construction laws issues. About the Presenter
Archibald Woo, AIA
Archibald Woo, AIA is a licensed architect and has been practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1990. His work has been focused mainly on complex projects for various Bay Area school districts, different campuses of the University of California system as well as for major healthcare and medical research organizations. Archibald has been active in the teaching and mentoring of architectural students and younger professionals. He has taught this seminar since 2003. He has also co-chaired the AIASF Mentorship Committee. He has been awarded the chapter’s Presidential Commendation in 2006 and 2011, as well as their Community Alliance Award for Education in 2016.
