UDIC Virtual Presentation: SF Housing Element Adoption and Implementation
The Housing Element 2022 Update is San Francisco’s housing plan for the next 8 years, and the first one that will center on racial and social equity. It includes policies and programs that express our collective vision and values for the future of housing in San Francisco.
This update will outline the strategies to address our significant housing needs, defining priorities for decision-making and resource allocation for housing programs, development, and services. Extensive outreach and engagement for this update began in May 2020. Since then, residents and community members have participated in three phases of development, review, and revision. As the Housing Element Update moves toward adoption, the Planning Department’s focus will shift toward implementation measures to address housing supply, affordability, displacement, and gentrification.
Join AIASF’s UDIC and San Francisco Planning Department staff to learn about the current status of the 2022 Housing Element Update and the process anticipated for implementation.
