Illuminating the Title 24 2019 Residential Lighting Requirements (1 HSW)

Come join us to learn about the newest changes to the Title 24 Residential Codes.

 


Learning Objectives

  1. By reviewing CEC/USDOE data, the participant will be able to describe the how we use energy in the U.S. and how California compares to the rest of the country.
  2. By reviewing U.S. Department of Energy objectives, the participant will be able to explain the importance of energy efficiency and how light control saves energy.
  3. By comparing Title 24 2016 to Title 24 2019 Standard, the participant will be able to identify the key changes in Title 24 2019 with regards to lighting in residential buildings.
  4. Using California’s 2019 Building Energy Efficiency Standards, the participant will be able to determine how to meet the mandated lighting requirements for new construction, additions, and major renovations of residential buildings.

 


About the Presenter

Suzanna Rumon has been working in the field of energy conservation and design for several decades. Landing in the universe of lighting in 2007, she has worked for an Electrical Contractor, an LED lighting manufacturer, and two lighting representation firms servicing both the specification and distribution communities. Currently with ALR, Suzanna is excited to be working for a firm with a 100+ manufactures in their lighting design quiver. With a degree in Interior Design and her experience in decorative residential lighting and controls, her passion for helping specifiers comply with Title 24 without sacrificing their design intent is evident in her presentation.
