Fellowship Nominating Task Force

AIA Fellows are recognized with AIA’s highest membership honor for their exceptional work and contributions to architecture and society. Architects who have made significant contributions to the profession and society and exemplify architectural excellence can become members of the College of Fellows. Only 3% of AIA members have this distinction.

Each year, AIA San Francisco’s Fellowship Nominating Committee reviews the submission packets of local Fellowship candidates and nominates the strongest candidates to the National office.

Please visit the AIA National Fellowship page if interested in pursuing a Fellowship to eligibility, schedule and feeds, and resources. Candidates for fellowship must be an AIA architect member in good standing and have at least 10 cumulative years of architect membership. You can verify your membership tenure by emailing aiamembershiphistory@aia.org.

AIA National will open the 2025 cycle on June 24, 2024. Local Chapter submissions are reviewed in three rounds.
The deadlines to submit are 1:00 PM on Fridays:

July 5
August 2
August 30

Submit your materials to Angela Chen, Member Services Coordinator, at achen@aiasf.org. Please label each document clearly with your first and last name.

Completed applications must be submitted to AIA National by 5pm ET on October 9, 2024.
