Relocation to Hallidie Building Storefront
As the coronavirus and economic challenges are bearing down on the Bay Area and beyond, we are focusing the mission of the new Center for Architecture + Design headquarters on the recovery, health, and collaborative spirit of our community.
As architects, we are community builders committed to designing a space that supports the well-being – physical, mental, and social – with equitable access for everyone.
Our new space will be many things. The downtown street-level location of the Hallidie Building presents an opportunity to increase our visibility and accessibility to the public while offering flexible spaces for retail, exhibitions, continuing education, and events on architecture, design, and related disciplines.
The new headquarters responds to the strong desire of AIASF and allied industry members, and the public to grow and expand our reach into the community. Opening the Center has been years in the making thanks to dedicated community leaders and a grassroots-fueled campaign.
