Who We Are
450 Architects is a hands-on architecture studio that works with forward-thinking clients to design schools, homes, and healthy living environments. We are known for our attention to detail, and our emphasis on high-performance design. Our current work includes private and public schools, single and multi-family residences, public works, and open space projects.

Who We Are Looking For
We seek to employ a talented, experienced project architect with proven abilities as a leader with strong project management, verbal and graphic communication skills, understanding of building codes, and interest in high performance building design. Successful candidates will have strong portfolios, work collaboratively with clients and team members, and possess enthusiasm for professional development.


·         Project coordination, leads project team and conducts internal and external meetings, communicates effectively with project stakeholders, consultants and contractors during all project phases, coordinates team members workloads throughout multiple phases to complete documents on schedule

·         Develops project understanding and design strategy through research and collaboration, develop architectural drawings and specifications

·         Responsible for project’s technical design effort, provide design and documentation for a range of projects participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance

·         Perform construction administration duties

·         Perform QA/QC and technical reviews, anticipate and develop solutions to technical and design challenges

·         Perform other duties as needed

-Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited school
-California Licensed and Registered Architect
-Strong project management skills and knowledge of building codes
-Division of State Architect (DSA) experience required
-Demonstrated ability to oversee project delivery
-Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly with team members and clients
-Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite
-Skills in Insight, SketchUp and Rhino a plus
-Minimum 10 years experience
-LEED Accredited preferred

Work From Home Policy
Our office operates on a hybrid schedule, allowing one day of work from home per week. Candidates should be located in the San Francisco Bay Area, and be prepared to travel to the office or job sites as required. Non-Exempt, Full Time, Travel may be required, Overtime is infrequent.
