Andrew Mann Architecture is seeking a full-time Business Manager with prior administrative and financial work experience within a creative, design studio.  A highly organized, enthusiastic, person with excellent communication skills who greatly appreciates design and the arts will thrive in this position. The well-respected firm specializes in the design of high-end custom residential architecture and prides itself on a high level of service to clients and long-term relationships with creative partners.

Employment at Andrew Mann Architecture offers the candidate the opportunity to support the design process through organization of the studio’s operations and collaboration with our remote support team.  The position requires a self-starter who can manage a varied task list while looking towards improving current systems and supporting efforts of the Principals to develop business and projects.

The main responsibilities for the position are to take initiative on the administrative tasks that provide a smoothly running firm.  The firm looks to the strengths each team member brings to the table in order to finalize position descriptions, but an administrative professional who can manage, organize, and communicate will thrive in this office.  The Business Manager will take on financial assistance for the firm’s accounting; lead onboarding, offboarding and employee benefits administration; keep tabs on licenses, insurance and required filings for the firm; organize and maintain the office facilities; schedule Principals and Team meetings; prepare for presentations as well as other administrative tasks which we will outline in an interview.

The ability to be detail-oriented, communicate clearly, prioritize, and wear many hats with a positive attitude are highly valued skills for the position. The position is full-time, likely 4-5 days per week with flexible, but predictable hours between 9 and 6.

Qualifications:  Successful candidates must have past experience in office management and financial management, preferably in a design studio.  Candidates should have at least five – seven years of work experience in administration with at least one year of QuickBooks experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience with leading and managing administrative projects is required.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Word, Outlook (or other calendaring software) is highly valued.  For QuickBooks, experience with job costing is a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is desired, specifically InDesign.
