BAR Architects & Interiors is seeking a highly motivated, personable Project Accountant to join our San Francisco office. Reporting to our CFO, our Project Accountants engage in company-wide project management accounting. This includes working with the Project Managers and senior management to input, update and maintain budgets and contract information within the project accounting system resulting in accurate client invoices and project management financial reports. Individuals in this role need to have a love of the numbers, the details, and the people too. An appreciation for design and the built environment is ideal.
Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in Project Accounting in a professional services firm, preferably an architecture, engineering or construction (AEC) firm.
- 4-year degree in related field or combination of education and experience.
- High level of knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Advanced understanding of standard accounting principles.
- Experience with Deltek Vision and Newforma software preferred.
- Command of all basic office equipment and facility for learning equipment and software specific to AEC Industry.
- Ability to manage competing priorities; be highly organized and able to work quickly.
- Ability to thrive under extreme time pressures.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work comfortably with clients, consultants, and staff at all levels.
- Show initiative in seeking or developing new projects.
