The Role
We are seeking a full-time Healthcare Senior Project Architect to join our growing San Francisco team. This person will lead design and documentation for a variety of healthcare project types in all phases from programming through construction administration. Top candidates will be looking for an open office environment with long-term career potential and will have demonstrated all-around technical expertise related to designing and documenting projects, permitting, and construction administration, and leading teams of varying sizes.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide design leadership and technical expertise to determine project requirements for scope,
schedule, budget, specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and completion times.
• Coordinate design work with internal team, consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies (HCAI/OSHPD).
• Mentor & lead junior level teammates with eventual progression toward management responsibilities.
• Ability to manage construction administration for a variety of contract types including Design-build, Design-bid-build, etc.
• Serve as a lead for code and ADA compliance; provide guidance and expertise to internal team members.
• Consult with leadership team to provide input on standards and strategic decisions.
• Contribute to the San Francisco office’s business development efforts.

Required Experience:
• Licensed Architect with 10-15+ years of professional experience.
• Portfolio of work that demonstrates excellence in design thinking and technical expertise.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior staff.
• Revit proficiency.
• Experience with project management and juggling multiple projects.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate issues and concerns to stakeholders, vendors, and project team members.

Strongly Preferred Experience:
• Healthcare project experience.
• Experience in applying Lean or Agile principles to design and construction.
• LEED accreditation, EDAC certification.
• Commitment to promoting sustainable business practices.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $114,000-$160,000 depending on experience.
