Create, develop and prepare architectural designs and presentations.

Produce architectural scale drawings with design intent and within schedules and budgets.

Coordinate with design teams including consultants, contractors, fabricators and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives while resolving technical architectural issues.

Prepare architectural proposals and documents for general contractors, engineers and specialists and perform material research. Review submittals/substitution requests and address change orders pertaining to architectural matters.

Document site reports and monitor progress and compliance with architectural plans.

Present two dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D) architectural design plans, construction details, and technical specifications while assuming responsibility for quality control and adherence to applicable codes.

Consult with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements of proposed structures that respond to their needs and expectations and prepare client meeting materials.

During construction administration, review shop drawings and answer requests for information (RFIs) from subcontractors.

Responsible for all phases of project development including document planning and coordination as well as detail development, design development and preparation of project presentation drawings and construction documents.

Project scheduling and budgets.

Lead client presentations and meetings.

Responsible for planning permit materials.

Manage complex permitting processes including California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) variances.

Lead Construction Administration (CA) process and provide technical expertise to ensure coordinated, high quality construction documents.

Utilize CAD Software including ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Google Sketchup, Maya and Rhinoceros as well as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat.

Supervise two Architectural Drafters.

Telecommuting permitted.

EDUCATION:            Master’s Degree in Architecture, related or foreign equivalent

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

1) knowledge of ArchiCAD and AutoCAD software;
2) knowledge of Google Sketchup, Maya and Rhinoceros software;
3) knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat software;
4) knowledge of two dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D) architectural design presentation.
