We are looking for creative, open minded and collaborative individuals to help us design the next generation of social gathering spots; be it a cool coffee shop, a healthy restaurant, a hip grocery store with a brewery, a renovated retail mall, a mixed-use neighborhood growing out of a redeveloped mall, or a multi-block campus masterplan, we do social at every scale.
Qualifications and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; NAAB accredited degree preferred;
-Licensed in California; NCARB accreditation a plus.
-12+ years of experience in an architecture office, to include overseeing multiple project teams.
-Food and Beverage experience a plus.
Duties:
-Develop project budgets, schedules and goals from fee structure and manage budgets within approved limits.
-Manage day-to-day workflow and overall schedule for project team and consultants to meet project goals.
-Oversee the production of design development and construction documents, including building detailing and waterproofing; coordinate documents with work of consultants.
-Conduct meetings with clients and consultants to review project schedule, budget and expedite decision making; manages written communications between parties.
-Interface with governmental agencies to review requirements and obtain approvals.
-Collaborate with principal-in-charge on project progress and key decisions.
-Act as primary day-to-day client contact as required by project demands.
-Be an active participant in Contract Administration during the construction phase.
-Supervise junior project managers and assist/mentor as required.
-Lead/participate in the office-wide staffing effort to ensure that projects are adequately staffed.
-Contribute to and participate in office-wide professional development seminars on all aspects of design and production.
-Perform QA/QC on documents produced by others in the office.
We are currently working onsite in San Francisco on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; Tuesday and Friday are optional work from home days. We require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to work in the office.
