Gelfand Partners is looking for a motivated Senior Architect to bring experience, talents, dedication, and pragmatism to our practice. Applicants must have deft project management skills. Additionally, candidates should have a keen ability to maintain rigorous focus on the quality of the project, the needs of the client, and the efficiency of our efforts.
Gelfand Partners Architects is an award winning, mission-driven practice. We serve public school districts, colleges, universities, community-based non-profits and housing providers. We work with these institutions to produce high quality and sustainable designs and we passionately support our clients whose intentions are to make the world a better place. Our practice includes architecture, landscape architecture and interiors. Our projects vary between $50 million and $100 million.
We also bring our values home to the structure of the practice. Gelfand Partners is one of the first architecture firms in the country to become a Certified B Corporation. We are a JUST organization and a San Francisco Green Business and ally with like-minded clients.

This is a full-time, permanent position. We offer flex time hours, meaning you can decide when you start and end work within the hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm. Monday and Friday will be flex remote work days consistent with the demands of your position and tasks.
We are highly accessible, and transit-friendly; we are located within 3 blocks of a BART station and a Muni Metro station. We have an indoor bike rack, an exercise room and shower. Our beautifully designed office is located within a landmark building, offering high ceilings and lots of light.
We are seeking a new member for our team who possesses design ability and technical interests. Experience in all phases of design, from conceptual design through construction administration, is desired. The ideal candidate brings an array of talents, skills and success in design, detailing and project management.
· Professional degree in Architecture is required
· California license
· Minimum 10 years’ experience including leading teams and coordinating consultants
· Strong technical skills using AutoCAD and Revit
· Experience using digital tools like SketchUp or Bluebeam preferred
· Talented designer
· Effective lead and collaborator
