Light Space Architecture Office, a small, craft-based, contemporary, architecture firm located in San Francisco is seeking a talented and motivated designer to grow with us. Our work is focused on creating site sensitive buildings that express clarity from concept to detail. We value innovation, sustainability, building context, and engage deeply with our clients, builders, and consultants to arrive at solutions that are both practical and inspiring.

Qualified candidates should possess the following attributes & skills:

– Currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.

– Hold a professional degree in architecture and a minimum of 3-5 years of residential architecture (or similar scale) experience.

– Passionate about design, construction & architectural detailing.

– Enthusiastic problem solvers with the ability to toggle between a detail, or big picture approach, depending on the task at hand.

– Proactive spirit, with the ability to work independently, but also ask questions and take direction when needed.

– Experience working in all phases of architectural projects, with extra value placed on work completed in the Bay Area.

– High quality verbal and written communication skills.

– Experience working with consultants including structural & civil engineers, landscape architects and interior designers.

– Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, & Adobe CS.
