Quezada Architecture, a multi-disciplinary, woman-owned boutique design firm with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles, is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our diverse and talented team. We are passionate about creating thoughtful, beautiful, and healthy environments for our clients with exciting and unique projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. Our work spans a wide range of sectors including commercial workplace design, hospitality, high-end residential, retail, and health/wellness.
Our ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, self-motivated, organized, positive and flexible, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must have both the requisite experience and a passion for modern design, exceptional design sensibility and graphic skills, and a healthy sense of humor.
This position is for someone with high-end single family residential design experience who has strong modern design skills, can take a project from Concept through CA, and can put together a fully coordinated CD set. Experience in other sectors such as commercial work place and hospitality is a plus and a modern design sensibility is a must. This is a key position in our firm where you will be collaborating on the design, documentation, and consultant coordination on a wide array of project types. Current residential projects include a new 5,000+ sf home in Mill Valley and a homes in Aspen, Santa Monica, and Maui.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited Architecture Program
8+ years of related experience working in an architectural design office
Qualifications, Skills and Software
Must be able to initiate and create technical drawings for the SD, DD and CD phases of project documentation.
Licensed Architect a big plus
Required software proficiency:
· Revit 2022
· AutoCAD 2022
· MS Office Suite
· Collaborating with a team in the concept phase to develop the approach to the project
· Manage and organize isolated tasks for larger projects
· Manage and coordinate sub-consultants drawings w/ architectural design
· QA / QC review and implementation
· Code and Zoning review
· Clash detection and manage efforts for Design/Build trades
· Managing and preparing technical documentation of projects
· Collaborates with other staff on workflow optimization between technical drawings and 3D visualizations
· Develop details
· Prepare client presentations and attend client meetings
· Prepare and issue Bid Documents
· Prepare Permits Sets
· Mentor junior staff
· Keeping current with software upgrades
· Assisting in Construction Administration

Work is currently being performed in a hybrid mode with 3 days in office and 2 remote. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
