San Francisco Public Works, Bureau of Architecture (BOA), is one of the best places to further your architectural career!  Unlike many firms, we are focused on many different project types, including Healthcare, Recreation, Community Centers, Libraries, Infrastructure, Historical, Justice, Fire, and Civic, etc.  Most all our projects are built, and they are built locally which is a bonus and allows our architectural staff at all levels participate in construction administration and learn first-hand the nature of construction.

San Francisco Public Works’ Bureau of Architecture (BOA) is a full-service Professional Architectural office that regularly provides Architectural Design services to over 15 City agencies in San Francisco. We are one of very few City Departments in the U.S. that employees a full architectural design and production staff of 65+.  We are proud to be providing full-service design and construction for our great city.  BOA currently has opening(s) for an Architectural Job Captain level staff.  This position is under the classification of a 5266 Architectural Associate II and there is a call for applications to go through the exam process for this permanent Civil Service position.  To learn more about our work, check out our portfolio link below and to apply click on the link at the bottom of this post.  As a government agency we have a bit of a more rigid process in applying for job posting, but it is worth it!  Make sure you follow all the instructions to the tee.  This is a great opportunity for the right candidate.
