SIM Architects, established in 1996, is celebrating its 28th Anniversary this year!  We are growing and are looking to add a Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant who is self-motivated, hard-working and focused with experience in graphics/marketing for the A/E/C industry.  We are seeking a creative, motivated individual with strong graphic capabilities and an interest in architecture to assist our Marketing Leadership Team.  There is flexibility with the number of hours per week for this position.  We are currently working on various new projects including educational, institutional, commercial, residential and ecumenical structures.  Some of the projects include a major renovation to an existing high school campus, new mixed-use residential development, new civic building for a Bay Area municipality, a new college campus master plan, and a new iconic church structure.

Our main office is located in downtown Lafayette within walking distance of all major transit systems, including the Lafayette BART Station.  Our office is also looking to build additional satellite offices in the Peninsula as well as the South Bay in the coming months to get our offices closer to where our talented teammates live and work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Assist in the preparation of proposals, publications and communication materials.
• Coordinate, maintain and prepare firm-wide graphic materials.
• Assist with marketplace research in firm’s market sectors.
• Coordinate social media outreach and marketing tasks (publications, articles, events, websites, etc.)
• 1-3 year of professional experience in producing published materials and graphics content.
• Bachelor’s degree or in-progress (Graphic Arts, Marketing, Communications).
• Strong graphic skills including experience using Photoshop, In-Design, Illustrator programs. (Adobe Suite)
• Ability to work effectively, balancing demands on multiple projects at various stages of development.
• Willingness to pitch-in and assist where needed in a team-oriented culture.
• Detail-oriented, strong graphic design sense, flexible mindset and strong work ethic.
