Architectural Senior Healthcare Project Manager (10 + years of experience)


TEF Design is a San Francisco based, award-winning design firm that provides architectural and interior design services for educational, civic, healthcare, infrastructure, private sector and workplace clients. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter with a minimum of ten years of professional experience in complex project types with at least five years focused on healthcare clients and projects. This position is specifically to work with a principal to manage multiple assignments for a large healthcare provider in Northern California.

The architects on our staff exhibit design strength, technical expertise, strong management and communication skills. The position offers the opportunity for growth and advancement. The following are the minimum qualifications required for this position:


A professional degree in architecture
A license to practice architecture
Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, graphic and visualization
Technical proficiency in Revit, Sketch-up, InDesign, Enscape3D (or equivalent), Adobe suite
Ability to work independently and balance needs of multiple projects
A key attribute is the ability to collaborate well and work as part of a larger design team.

Job Description

Manage an On-Call contract for a large healthcare provider
Coordinate all project efforts in order to ensure effective execution
Prepare strategic plans
Estimate scope of work and oversee less experienced project managers
Handle complex projects with design fees up to $1M
To be responsible for coordination of all project efforts to ensure the most efficient
and cost-effective execution
To actively manage budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; and project team assignments
Provide oversight and monitoring of work of less experienced project managers
