Founded in 1993, PCI Construction is a family business focused on residential projects across the Bay Area! We are seeking an Architectural Drafter to join our design-build team on a part-time, or potentially full-time basis.

In this role, you will collaborate with our lead designer and engineers to produce accurate and detailed drawings and plans for construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and local building codes. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in CAD software and an understanding of architectural design principles, with the ability to work under deadlines and adapt to project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and modify detailed architectural drawings, plans, and layouts for residential buildings based on design requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and other team members to gather design information and ensure accuracy in project plans.
  • Use CAD software (such as Chief Architect, AutoCAD, Revit) to draft floor plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.
  • Create 3D images and walk-throughs.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including technical drawings, schedules, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, local building codes, and regulations.
  • Make revisions to drawings based on feedback from project managers, clients, or cities.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation for future reference and updates.
  • Perform site visits as needed to collect data and verify measurements.
  • Coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders during project implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Chief Architect, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Experience with 3D rendering software.
  • Understanding of architectural principles, building systems, and construction practices.
  • Familiarity with building codes, zoning laws, and local regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.
  • Previous experience in architectural drafting or a related field is a plus.
