The primary goal of the Landscape Architect is to create captivating designs that seamlessly blend customized aesthetics and functionality for each Groff client. You will work together with the Sales team to ensure designs align with the client’s dreams and requirements. You will communicate with the Operations team with keen attention to detail to ensure the project vision comes to life. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, excellent creativity and communication skills, and a passion for high-quality residential outdoor living spaces and landscape solutions.

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Expert in DynaScape Design, Structure Studios Software or other 3D design software and CAD-based design
  • Understanding of local Municipal Codes. (training will be provided)
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of residential spatial design and outdoor living.
  • Experience in horticulture.
  • Thorough understanding of all outdoor living-related design elements.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (LMN and Hubspot) is a plus.
  • Must excel in integrity sales. (training will be provided)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Position ResponsibilitiesTreat each client and their project as if they are your only client, while managing your time and priorities with multiple projects.
  • Utilize design software to develop comprehensive landscape plans and designs that incorporate hardscape elements, plant selection, landscape lighting, pool elements, outdoor kitchens, structures, fire features, drainage, etc.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the Sales team to create outdoor living spaces that fulfill client goals and objectives, while adhering to county specifications and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with the Sales team and clients throughout the design process to incorporate feedback and make necessary adjustments.
  • Participate in design presentations and sales meetings with clients. Build trust and rapport using Integrity Selling methodology. (training will be provided)
  • Create preliminary budgetary estimates in collaboration with the Sales team.
  • Prepare and perform handoff meetings with the Operations team for each project.
  • Perform a post project meeting to understand how the Groff team performed and to learn how Groff can create a better client experience.
  • Design for warranty projects as they arise.
  • Participate in weekly Sales and Production meetings.
  • Utilize HubSpot software to log all activity with prospects and clients following company protocol.
  • Use Groff process forms to ensure no steps are missed.
  • Maintain a continuous learning mindset. Participate in paid training. Research new technology, products, styles, and installation practices to introduce truly customized designs around our clients’ needs.
  • Maintain the 10/5 communication rule set by Groff, at a minimum.

  • Full-Time, Remote Position
  • Mon - Fri (Eastern Time Zone Working Hours)
