Join the Center for Architecture + Design in collaboration with AIA San Francisco for this segment of "Fresh Brew" which features Heidi Lubin, Founder, eSix Development Partners, a real estate development firm and smart cities consultancy. Drawing from her knowledge as a key contributor to The Building Decarbonization Practice Guide, and her experience as a property developer with a background in law, finance and sustainable design, Heidi will lead a discussion about decarbonizing multifamily construction. This episode is coordinated in partnership with AIASF Housing Committee. Additional guests to be announced.

Heidi Lubin, Founder, eSix Development Partners
Heidi is a real estate developer, renewable energy advocate and entrepreneur focused on affordable, sustainable multifamily housing that addresses the related challenges of climate change and housing affordability. She recently completed the first purpose-built ground up co-living development and among the first all-electric developments in the Bay Area and in the U.S. The project is a highly sustainable, all-electric, missing middle housing development in West Oakland that is on-track to achieve zero-net energy production. She also recently completed the first municipal bond financing in the U.S. for co-living and for all-electric development. She has particular depth of expertise in co-living, modular/pre-fab construction, workforce housing and renewable energy including new business models in ZNE and/or embodied carbon reduction.
Heidi's experience ranges from pre-revenue organizations to multinationals $3B+ in revenue. She is fluent across disciplines including project finance, acquisitions, negotiation and contracting, due diligence, law & regulatory affairs, business development and innovation and design. Heidi has also successfully commercialized numerous products from modular building micro-grids to energy-efficient and rare-earth free electric motors; worked on the close of a first-of-its-kind $15M project financing of solar micro-grids; and led an early stage electric motor start-up from academia to acquisition in under 3 years. Previously, Heidi worked as an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP restructuring in excess of $35 billion in debt obligations for multinational public and private companies. She has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, a JD from Northwestern University School of Law, a certificate in Multidisciplinary Design from Archeworks and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In her spare time, she is an avid outdoor-lover and a certified yoga and alpine skiing instructor.
