Craig's work with SOM in the U.S., Europe and Asia includes a major cathedral in Oakland, a new science building on Harvard's campus, the new US Embassy in Beijing and the 42-story mixed use St. Regis Museum Tower in San Francisco. Other recent work includes San Francisco’s new International Airport Terminal. Hartman has received numerous awards for his work, including 6 National Honor Awards from the American Institute of Architects. In 2001, he became the youngest recipient of the Maybeck Award, an award presented periodically by the California Chapter, American Institute of Architects to an individual in recognition of “lifetime achievement in architectural design.” Hartman received his Bachelor of Architecture from the College of Architecture and Planning at Ball State University and studied at the Architecture Association in London.
