AIASF Design for Aging: Enhancing Wellness with Outdoor Environments
The importance of landscape architecture and design in senior communities cannot be underestimated. As an aid to socialization and wellness by drawing residents outdoors, the design of the outdoor spaces can be beneficial to the mental and physical health of senior adults. Join us for a panel discussion with Casey Case and Linda Gates of Gates + Associates, who will share strategies for effective and thoughtful landscape design in senior communities. They will discuss methods in which landscape architecture promotes independence; heightens sensory perception; and offers emotional support and wellness through the design of private, semi-private, and public spaces.
