This AIA Bay Area Local Internship Network (LINk) is organized jointly by AIA San Francisco, AIA East Bay, and AIA San Mateo County. Members of these chapters are eligible to post internship positions through this network.

Winter internships are typically short, but can be a transformative and valuable experience. Mentorship is a critical part of a student’s learning experience and has a lasting impact on future pathways.

Note that the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, the American Institute of Architects, and the American Institute of Architecture Students recognize that architects are bound by law and ethics to pay interns, and strongly advocate for the appropriate compensation of architectural students and interns.
