Lunch + Learn: Gender-Inclusive Restrooms: The Need for Added Privacy in Multi-Toilet Stall Accommodations

There is a growing need for Multi-stall Gender Inclusive Restrooms where all patrons have equal access to the restroom for those who identify as Male, Female, Non-Binary or Other. Whether that be for project types such as University, K-12, Tech, Law Office, Public/Civic and Healthcare, there is growing need for non-gendered restrooms.
R.E. Edwards & Associates, Inc.has been providing Gender Inclusive Restroom designs where full height toilet cubicle privacy are needed to provide a safe, private, and secure experience. Utilizing full-height cubicles creates a new set of design challenges for both Plumbing & ADA Code, especially for renovation type projects where the existing space is already defined.
The presentation will cover ADA & Plumbing Code impacts, how to design around that, lighting, ventilation, and aesthetic/privacy features for a budget that fits your client’s needs.
