Attendees will develop an understanding of the various types of tile, setting methods, system components, and quality assurance as outlined in the ANSI A108 standards and the Tile Council of North America (TCNA) Handbook. The program will address design and installation requirements for conventional large format tile, including substrate preparation. The program will also look at the new standards for thin Gauged Porcelain Tile (GPT) panels. The seminar will also address the new recommended specification language for installer qualifications appearing in the TCNA Handbook and MasterSpec.

About the Presenter

Craig Horton

I began my career in the construction industry about 20 years ago and have held positions in Sales Management & National Specifications. Most recently I managed a team of architectural specification leaders in the industry whom many you probably work with today. I am a graduate of the University of California, Davis, with a BS degree in Environmental and Resource Science and hold a masters certificate in Construction Management. I am board member of the Western States Structural Masonry Coalition and actively involved with CSI, AIA and the ACE mentor program of California.
